The course has been designed with the objective of preparing an individual to take up a career in the Sales & Marketing profession. This course covers all the specific aspects of the Sales & Marketing process and in the final year also allows the student to take up the Sales & Marketing profession in specific industries like banking, insurance, telecom, retail, telesales and for institutional Sales & Marketing across industries. The degree would be awarded by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Deemed University). This degree is equivalent to any other bachelor’s degree granted by the University Grants Commission (UGC)

The Vocational course is a three-year program which consists of a combination of Practical, Theory and general education courses. This three-year program will be divided into 6 semesters; 2 semesters per year. 1st year will be a Diploma, 2nd year will be Advance Diploma & 3rd year will be a Degree. The program is a work integrated training which includes on-the-job training (practical) for 5 days a week and 1 day of theory training. We shall ensure that each student is able to undergo an internship (with stipend) with some of the well known companies in the industry.
Students will be assessed on project work and a written examination which will be conducted at the end of each semester.
The subjects/topics covered shall include , basics of Sales, types of sales, skills for effective sales, market analysis, sales process, English language, sales distribution network, feet on street sales, B2B sales, salary/incentives, computing, sales in rural markets, e-commerce, using social media. The final year shall have electives related to sales & marketing function in various industries, like retail, banking, insurance, FMCG, telecom, consumer durables etc.)
