B.VOC in Sales and Marketing

Objectives:

B.Voc in Sales and Marketing consists of a harmonic mix of practical training and classroom lectures. B.Voccourse is introduced with an aim to incorporate requirements of various industries into its curriculum. The course helps ensure students have adequate skills, make them work ready, enhance employability of graduates and thus make them part of global workforce. B.Voc in Sales and Marketing helps gain knowledge about consumer behaviour and how and why’s of the market. It has been designed with the objective of preparing an individual to take up a career in the sales profession.

Eligibility:

The eligibility condition for admission to B.Voc programme shall be 10+2 orequivalent, in any stream.

Course Structure:

B.Voc in Sales and Marketing is a three year program which consists a combination of practical, theory and generic courses. It will be divided into 6 semesters; 2 semesters per year. The program offers multiple exit options : Diploma Certificate after completing 1 year Advance Diploma after completing 2 years Bachelor’s Degree after completing 3 years. The program is a work integrated training which include on-the-job training for 4- 5 days a week and 2 days of classroom training. The courses also include generic module for overall development of the candidate.

Internship:

This is a work integrated course, so all the students who are not already working shall be placed with corporate industry teams for a minimum of 4 months in a year. Most students end up getting an internship for the full year. Some have also been absorbed by the company on permanent rolls after the completion of the course.

Examination:

Students will be assessed on project work, assignments and a written examination which will be conducted at the end of each semester. TISS-SVE shall conduct an assessment on semester basis and award the degree at the end of course

Syllabus:

The subjects/ topics covered shall include Basic of Sales, Basic of Marketing, Market Analysis, Market Segmentation, Distribution of Network, B2B Sales, E-Commerce, Functional English, Computer Knowledge and Communication Skills. Every semester will cover 12 credits of classroom training and 12 credits of on the job training

Course Duration:

Duration is 3 years subdivided into 6 semesters. (On successful completion of the Program, certificate will be awarded by TISS,Mumbai))

Course Fee:

The fee for B.Voc in Sales and Marketing Rs. 29.600/- per year (All inclusive- Tuition and Exam fee).To register yourself, you need to provide a draft/cheque of the said amount in the favour of Tata Institute of Social Sciences - School of Vocational Education.
