TDII conducts an Induction in the beginning of every session to welcome its students. The Induction program is a formal get together of Faculties, Students and Admin members. The students are provided with the course material alongwith necessary post admission information. Generally, TISS,Mumbai representatives are also present in the event.
Students are free to address their concerns related to courses, with the first contact point person who is empowered to listen and address the issues. The students should approach the appropriate officials for firth support.
Gender discrimination is a systematic, unfavourable treatment of individuals on the basis of their gender, which denies them rights opportunities or resources within any given society.
TDII has formed the Women and Gender Development Cell (WGDC) to address the issues pertaining to students’ safety.
Every student is expected to maintain regularity and 100% attendance for all programs requirements i;e: Classroom/Theory Courses, On Job Training.
A minimum of 75% attendance is required for all theory as well as practical courses. The student can not appear for the examination of those courses where the attendance is less than 75%.
Absence for medical or other exigent reasons has to be taken with permission with a leave application submitted to the concerned person.
A grievances committee has been formed by TDII to address the issues related to admissions, academics or other post admission issues.
Students are free to address the concerned person at the centre in case of any grievances.
Convocation Formalities for the Final Year/ Semester students will be announced along with the date after the successful completion of their courses.
The student will have to pay the convocation fee as announced periodically.
The students are supposed to fill the form for giving details of practicums, on the job training which needs to be mentioned in the testimonials. The form can be taken from the centre.
After completion of OJT, students will be given a certificate from the organisation they were placed, stating that they have completed their OJT satisfactorily.
B)Consolidated Grade Card
The degree will not be handed over in person on the of convocation to those students who do not attend the convocation. A student who wants to receive his/her degree in absentia, will apply for the same in the prescribed format available with centre. It takes two weeks’ time to process the request for a degree in absentia. The degree will be sent by Registered Post only.
